we're so glad to have you here. this place might be a tad confusing, and, yeah, i'll admit, it can get a little toxic, but you'll meet so many great people here, i promise.
here's some info to take with you on your journey into this great fandom! be safe, and have fun!
glossary
mcyt - stands for minecraft youtube, however, it can also be used to refer to people who are mainly minecraft twitch streamers.
dream team/dteam/dt - refers to dream, georgenotfound, and sapnap
sleepy bois/boys inc./sbi - refers to wilbur soot, technoblade, philza, and tommyinnit.
smpblr/smptwt - the name for the smplive/earth community on tumblr and twitter, respectively. slightly less obvious than the other community names.
pfp - stands for profile picture.
twt - shorthand for twitter, also the suffix for twitter fans e.g. sleepytwt, smptwt, dttwt
anything ending in ‘blr’ - the tumblr fanbase for that group, e.g. mcytblr, dteamblr, sleepyblr
smpronpa - a fanfiction that got very popular involving some very violent themes, it was taken down by its creator when someone in it said they were uncomfortable with it.
heat waves - a dream x george (dnf) fanfiction that blew up out of nowhere. read about shipping here!
cc - stands for content creator
/rp or /dsmp - a special tone tag used to indicate that the person is talking about in-character/in-universe events
nsfw -
very few creators are supportive of nsfw content of themselves, and in this community, it's a pretty unspoken rule that nsfw is kinda weirdchamp. you'll still probably run into some on your adventures, but it's up to you if you want to engage.
of course, if you make nsfw of creators that don't support it or are minors, i'll have to politely drop-kick you from this fandom :) thanks
shipping ettique -
first off, remember that these are real people!! ccs are under no obligation to be romantically interested and if you try to pressure them into that by posting 'proof' or some shit, that's kinda weirdchamp my friends.
most creators in this fandom are actually ok with shipping, unless you, again, push ship content onto them, which, yet again, is very weirdchamp.
just, pls, remember, if you ship someone's persona with someone else's because you like the dynamic, but know they are also real people outside of their streamer persona, you basically understand my point here :)
there are exceptions. some creators are uncomfortable with shipping, and be aware of that when creating ship content.
